Here we are at the half of the year, checking the numbers. How am I doing? Let's see:

Net Worth: £133809 (+10284)

Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £581 (All my funds invested in crypto were recovered)
Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0
Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£10

Projects to follow up in 2025:

Hive - 22.39 % completed (generated $141 this month)
DEFI - 33.34 % completed (generated $330 this month)
Shares Account no.1 AJ Bell 10K - 20.79 % completed
Shares Account no.2 Freetrade 10K- 22.39 % completed
Cash 20K - 77.15 % completed

All the special projects are going well, 20% or more of it achieved, with the next aim of 25% for all of them to be completed. Crypto went a bit up, and now is going a bit down. I managed to add a hundred pounds here and there, working up my 2 positions on Freetrade app - BlackRock investment funds and UK Treasury bill shares. The idea is to build a position on £10.000 and let it grow, as a secondary emergency fund, in case of need.

All debt were paid, the flight tickets for my end of the year holiday. A few extra expenses coming soon, a new mattress and the rent posibly going up £175 in the next 2-3 months. Saving will be harder with this current economy, I tell you. I am doing the ocasional few quids on surveys - £10 this month, sent to my bank account - went into shopping pot, and £3-4 in Amazon royalties. Noticed that crypto interest is hovering around £500 monthly, in 2025. Now you see from where I get my Freetrade shares funds. Thinking of it as some real-world value transfer. Some months it works, some it wont. I only need to keep it under the legal limit of £3000 per year to avoid tax. I am at $600 for now, and it is August, so I should not worry. The Virgin pension is increasing the monthly dues, again, but I only got another 7 years until it is kicking in, so I am willing to put the money in there. That's all for now!

I wish you a profitable well-planned rest of the year!

The perfect formula for very early retirement - the four pillars of the financial independence

I remember a story about the four pillars that are holding the temple roof. Thinking about that, I can easily create analogies to my financial independence/early retirement project.

And the four pillars of financial independence are:
1. The most important is Health. We need to take care of us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. If we are not in perfect health, in a peak state, everything else doesn't matter so much, right?
2. Investing regularly is second as importance, every week, every month, without a break until we reach our goal.
3. Dividend and interest reinvestment will make us to achieve results faster, based of the compounding rule.
4. Dividend growth is equally important, giving us an uncanny advantage on the road to financial freedom.

And as a bonus, inspired by Maximum Mustache March challenge, i was just thinking at one extreme technique of saving and reducing expenses. I recently meet some spiritual tradition exponents that are usually having a period of lent, not eating anything for a whole day, also known as fasting. After i talked with them i started reading about the benefits of fasting (not eating anything for 12 or 24 hours). See about this here and here and here.
Doing this for one day a week will result in 52 days over one year, almost two months of no expenses for food. Add the health benefits, longevity, faster metabolism speed, fat gain dramatically decreased and so much more. I am almost convinced to do this.

Have a good night!

Mr G.
