Crypto reached a whole new level of absurdity these days, as some big exchanges and cryptolender got brankrupted lately, due to the economic environment (see more about my month in crypto here). Translated - cryptocurrencies are still going down. Other than that, I got a bonus, or better call it 'bribe' from government, in order to come with the economical crisis (In theory they gave us 10% as inflation rised above 27%, so we are still on the losing side of the battle). Some royalties out of nowhere and some profit playing my blockchain games. Other than that, a quiet month, although I went on a spending spree as I needed to buy some new trousers, tops and shoes, plus, I finished everybody Christmas gifts early, as I had a week off. For the next year, I need to redirect some of the profits from crypto towards the bank account, but my numbers are only showing the liquidity, a lot more is stuck in different blockchain games, and if I do sell those, I estimate anything between 40K and 80K. Still, there is some growth potential in there, but I will take some profits slowly over the next few months, maybe all the next year. Trying some crazy moves to reach my FIRE amount all at once, if possible. But I do not see it happening until the market recovers.

Extra: I will start to drop some small amounts every month into my shares, which right now are a shameful £1800 in total. Long way until the expected 200K.

My month in crypto ( How i made £109.40 in May)

Motto: ''I lost some battles, but i won the war.'' (Me trying to aquire financial independence)

This was a good month (£109.40 compared with £6.78 in April). I cannot imagine how i was just keeping my crypto in Coinbase, instead of using some decentralised finance (DEFI apps or accounts). So, slowly slowly i start to learn about them, and i went to use Binance, until they lowered the interest rates, then i moved to Kucoin exchange, as they still have a decent offer thanks to the X-pool initiative, providing you POL token on top of the interest for the main coins.

After this experience, i made an account with Celsius.network and BlockFi, and having enough ZEN (42 Horizen coin) i made a Secure Masternode, in order to provide some extra ZEN on top of the daily faucet (which is maximised with all the boosts, this giving me 1026% bonus, so 10 times more than the basic amount). I just made an account on MyCointainer, but i am still learning about this one (just got some BeanCash there which i got for free from cryptofaucet). I am also receiving Neo staking bonus in form of Gas tokens.

I have also received small amounts of crypto from PublishOx, using Brave browser, various good paying faucets (all the links in my signature) and using EarnCrypto.com website (some high paying surveys when i am bored, travelling with train/bus/car or in a waiting room).

In May, on Celsius.network i got $8.16 in interest and $60 in promo codes bonus.

On BlockFi i only deposited a small amount (it was a promotion in May with more than $200 deposit and you will receive $100 on 1st of August if you Hodl the crypto until then. I received $0.71 in interest and a bonus/compensation of $25 in GUSD because i asked for it after their website had a data breach (see the articles about hacking and compensation in here and here).

On Kucoin Exchange soft staking i received $8.92 (most of it as POL tokens due to me staking on their exchange).

On Binance staking (i use the savings account for this) i received $1.31 in interest.

1d6fbb1769372a831bd6c8d0ad77175383feccb1688b6039899f0c467722d1ae.png

On my ZEN Masternode i received a massive $1 for staking, but i just started the masternode on the 17.05, so i will give you a more accurate reading after one full month. By the way, you only need 42 ZEN to do a masternode, and the cost for the needed coins is around $224. The return is said to be in the range of $45 per year ( check the rates in here).

I had also received $20.76 combined from using Brave, writting on Publish0x, using few faucets and websites paying in crypto for surveys.

So, my total amount of crypto, that i got for free in May, in form of interest, staking or doing few easy tasks is:

$135.03

Learning about cryptocurrency

Motto:  '' I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.''
(Leonardo da Vinci)

I don't know about you, but i have plenty of time at the moment, and i use it to learn. As the cryptocurrency is the latest trend, i will put some interesting links for you.

ZEN coin website - very interesting courses based on your level: begginer, average and expert.

Binace exchange - quite an expensive range - interesting bits of knowledge related to main subjects in the crypto world.

EDX.org - this is my favourite website to learn, and you can find enough computer knowledge here to keep you busy for years to come.

ODEM website - they got many courses, and quite few of them are free.

The strategy that i use is to look around, find something that interests me and just put the video on, usually when i do my strength training, or put some interesting music and start reading the text. I had enough of TV now, and i am not proud to say that i've seen most of Netflix by now. So this is a nice change.

I hope i will give you some ideas on how to keep busy. Have a good week!

How to get cryptocurrency using your old blog posts

I just found something interesting, if you know what cryptocurrencies are and you already have a blog with plenty of posts. Quite easy in fact, the only thing that you need to know is that you can copy/paste your old articles from your blog, if they are original and made by you. They are checking that, but if you own them, then there is no problem.

The website is called Publish0x, a blogging platform, and the easiest way to get crypto is to select BAT (Basic Attention Coin) to be paid and to  send them at the end of every month to a Coinbase account. You will need to select the specific BAT wallet address from your Coinbase account and to sent them manually at the end of every month. You can publish up to 5 blog posts every 24 hours.

As a side hustle, using Brave Browser you can also gain free BAT, via little adds. I found this browser alright, working quite fine, and i often use it in conjunction with DuckDuckgo search engine to find some results that are different than Google (unbiased, i mean).

In a month you can make anything between 30 and 300 BAT (BAT value today 28/2/2020 is 0.21USD, so it is like £5-50). I have the maximum ads setting on Brave Browser and i got around 60 ads in the last month. You will not get instantly rich, but you will learn about cryptocurrency alternatives to Bitcoin and there are few interesting trends at the moment. Publish0x is at the moment the second rated blog platform at the profit value after Medium, and they will keep your posts in the game forever (at least this is what they claim), so if you have very interesting articles, they will potentially get you paid for years to come.  The thing is that once you uploaded 100-200 blog posts, the payments go up quite nicely. So it is like 30 days = 150 posts and then you can forget about it. Real passive investment. Just check monthly to transfer the coins from Uphold wallet to Coinbase.

If you don't understand any detail, ask me, I will gladly help.

Disclaimer, some links are referral (so we will both get a small bonus, like £5-6 each for Coinbase, for example).

Free bitcoins - is this possible?

I will post something about 2 new strategies to get free crypto-currencies as soon as i have a bit of free time. In a way, because you pay with your attention.

Cryptocurrency corner

One of the alternatives to shares and real estate could be soon what they call PoS crypto, also known for the long name of Proof of Stake coins. These coins need to be staked in a fully updated wallet, in order to keep the last version of the block-chain. In exchange, they receive stakes of the named coin (the ROI varies between 4-10% normally). Anyway, not all of them are equal, and some offer the same coin (Neblio for example), while other are offering a different coin, like shares are offering dividends (NEO offering GAS).

One of those freshly discovered coins is called Neblio (NEBL), and it is offering a 10% interest for staking annually. This coin was 0.2$ in September, and now it is 12-13%, with a good potential to grow a bit more. What is the concept behind this cryptocurrency? Blockchain’s unique distributed ledger technology is what makes the Neblio Network possible. This decentralized system of securely storing transactions is the future of database technology for global networks. Enterprise applications taking advantage of this technology gain numerous benefits over those using traditional database architectures including transaction immutability, transparency, security, reliability, and decentralization. Despite the maturity of blockchain networks, few applications have taken advantage of the technology due to the difficulty, and cost of integration and maintenance. Unlike legacy blockchain networks, next-generation blockchain networks such as Neblio will fill the huge gap in the enterprise market to simplify the development and deployment of distributed applications that drive business value through blockchain technology.

So, in order to receive 1 coin per day, you need to stake 365x365 coins (estimate value 43k $). This is a gamble, but if the price will go to the perceived value (60$), then you can receive on average 1800$ monthly, doubling your investment in less than 2 years from staking, with a total value of approx. 8 millions.

Of course, this coin was used just as an example for Proof of Stake, and i am not involved in any way in this coin promotion. You should always invest your money based on your own research.

Added bonus: to study the greatest traders of the present, find the book "Market Wizards" by Jack D. Schwager.

Cryptocurrency corner - January II

I found an easier way to dip my fingers into the cryptocurrency universe.

I search for Pre-sale IPO which offer free coins in exchange of advertising the new coin, usually. Read their whitepaper and see which of them got potential.

If one or more of them will grow up, there it is, free money

First one is POW, which give me 33.000 coins for free, worth 5.80$ at the moment, in exchange of you making one account and promotion on Facebook or Twitter (or both).

Second one is WCX, which will give you 50 coins for account and email verified.

Third one DLBX is a bit complicated, as it is asking for 10 referrals, in exchange of tokens for a value of 500$. You will probably need to do an account on etherwallet to get the money.

Fourth is Coinstarter, which will give you 5-10 coins when you register and few more for networking. You will also needs an etherwallet  account, which you already made before for DLBX.

The fifth one is Sphere, with a nice website and a very good marketing campaign. This coin show potential in my opinion. Give you 50 coins to start with. Also needs etherwallet.

And this last one is an Actioncoin, to give you discount for different actions such as drafting, fishing, car racing etc. Seems interesting and will give you 1000 coins on sign-up.

I hope that you will make some profit out of this.

Bitcoin and other flying piglets

As someone who dealt with this option extensively and has 20% of investments in cryptocurrencies (I know, i know, i aim to 10% on the long run, but they got value very, very fast), i would like to point few directions:
- You can can rich over night, but this will happen only if you have a lot of luck or knowledge. For us mere mortals, we only need to learn about it and invest diligently.
- Learning about it, this is critical, and you need to have a basic knowledge of a block-chain, what is the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of utility, how many transactions per second will be added by lightning technology or why Dash and Zcash serve the same purpose, but differently. Investing in some coin because your taxi driver made some bucks of it is very often a way to loose a big part of your investment. Never forget the golden rule, invest only in what you understand and see and utility. Be a trader, not a speculant.
- Scams: as in any lucrative business, scammers appear and try to take money from the uninformed ones. As you know, if it is too good to be true, it isn't. I would estimate that more than 50% of the offers are scams, but some experts go as up as 90%. Beware at the very higher returns.
- You can use this as a store of value, and invest a minimum amount that you are fine losing it completely, if you like to experiment. If you do not know what a cryptocurrency is and how it is working, do not do it. Stick with what you learnt.

Hope it helped!

Cryptocurrencies and the Big Brother state

I do not want this page to become a cryptocurrency one, even if I got a hot corner for them. But this is a very interesting article about this year (2017) changes on this market.

Check it here

I will also write something about individual stock picking a bit later .
Have a nice weekend.

You need to learn about how to not get hacked and be prepared for a brave new world.

Cryptocurrency corner

As i was mentioning in some past posts, there are many opportunities with bitcoin and his alt-coins. Any other digital coin except bitcoin it is called an alt-coin. The ones worth trading right now are bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin.

The main option to make a profit are:

1. Day trading, as they are very volatile. If you plan to become a day trader, be vary of the fees charged by your exchange. I am using Coinbase to store the biggest amount of the digital currency, because i can send money from and into it using my bank account, and also because they have the vault option, where you can protect your coins from a hacking attack. But there are other options too, even if they lack some of the choices offered by the exchange mentioned before.

2. Mining - can be solo-mining, using your computer (which it is not efficient anymore because of the increased difficulty of the block-chain) or dedicated equipment (such as Ant-Miner S9). The second option is pool-mining, where more individuals join together and share the benefits and the risks. The last option is the cloud-mining, where you buy mining power from somebody else, in exchange of an amount of money (which can include the rent, the daily maintenance fee or the transaction fee). Most of the contracts offered today are slightly over or under the money paid for mining, and they can be for life (meaning they run as long as the company is getting some profit) or for 1-2 years. You can find online calculators to check their return on investment. But there are always alternatives, and you can make your own mining farm if you have a room available, and some solar panels or a eolian windmill to get free electricity, just to give an example.

3. Faucets - but this is only to experiment with the cryptocurrencies, as we are talking about a small amount. I was talking about this here.

My idea is to redirect the profit obtained from cryptocurrency to classical ways as shares, Ratesetter P2P lending and TheHouseCrowd real estate crowd-funding, to name a few options.

Cryptocurrency - Faucets - No.2

As i said, this is my second post in the interesting and full of danger world of digital currencies.
The faucets will let you have small amounts of bitcoin and other alt-coins, at regular intervals. I tested for a period, and recorded the performance of the best rated faucets and miners. But about miners i will talk maybe with other occasion, so let's keep it simple. This is a long term strategy, which eventually can provide a good 100% passive income, completely free, at the expense of 5 minutes daily.

1. First you gonna need a very good add-block. Once this is set up, you can go to the next step.
2. Make one account on Eobot. This is a miner/main deposit account, where you can use the coins gained from other faucets to mine something for the next 5 years. This website also has a faucet to access once per day. Ideally you switch on Cloud mining 5 years - GHS 4.0,  (last position on the mining menu) before using the faucet, avoiding the 35% fee when you buy it with some of the coins. If you are in UK, switch from dollar to pound.
3. Make one account on Coinpot. This is a micro-wallet where you can store bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin. For the moment we gonna focus on these three alt-coins, as they are the most lucrative.
4. You need to make one account on each of these faucets. I will also put in the brackets the faucet refresh interval. Moon Litecoin (5 minutes) Moon Bitcoin (5 minutes) Moon Dogecoin (5 minutes)
Bitfun faucet in offers (3 minutes) Bonus Bitcoin (15 minutes) All these faucets get automatically collected in Coinpot wallet.
5. There are other 2 faucets that are not collected in Coinpot, so you need to transfer them manually in the Eobot account, using the Eobot bitcoin and dogecoin addresses. Free Bitcoin (1 hour) Free Dogecoin (1 hour).
6. Strategy: click on all faucets at last once per day, as you get 1% bonus every day up to 100% more after 100 days. Every month transfer the coins from Free Bitcoin and Free Dogecoin faucets to your Eobot account. On Coinpot, at the end of the month convert all the dogecoins and litecoins to bitcoins. Transfer the bitcoins to your Eobot account. Once you have everything on Eobot, buy GHS 4.0. You can use it to mine whatever you fancy, bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin will be easier to sell. Keep using all the coins you gain to buy additional cloud mining (GHS 4.0 for 5 years).
7. Exit strategy: after you get paid a decent amount per hour, you need to make one account on some good wallet to link it with your bank account. I use Coinbase for this. You can sell you coins here on Coinbase and send the money straight in your account. This last account need to be properly protected by a decent password. As an additional layer of security, you can make a separate account in bank to use only for mining (and match betting, as i do, to record the profit i make each month easily).

I provide you with one example of my exploits in the mining/faucets area, which is not too impressive, but still, free money gained with minimal effort are always good, right? You can ask me any related question here, on this post, and i will try to answer if i know.

Cryptocurrency - Faucets

I am testing a little something called Faucets, a paid-by-click feature where you gain digital currency. It is not a lot of profit, unless you make lots of referrals. However, if you are a child between 8 and 14, this could be an alternative to the traditional paper route. I will come back to talk more about it after i finish my experiments. It works for cryptocurrency like bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin (last being an elaborate nerdy joke).

The cryptocurrency adventure

At the beginning on May i invested approx. £3200 in a new cryptocurrency called Ethereum, and i paid an exchange rate of £36 per 1 Ethereum. My deposit run fast to almost 22.000 pounds, but i was greedy, waiting for a bit more, and after few unfortunate events such us a fake news about the dead of the Ethereum public face (which was not true, but resulted in 10% price drop), and one 10 seconds spike from £299 to 0.10 and back, the value steadily decreased, trying to reach some equilibrium value. Today i decided to take my money back, and i just get £9800 sent to my bank. I was hoping to make at least £500, but in the end i got a £6500 profit for 75 days, which is an annual ROI of 31633%. Out of my last side hustles, this is, surprisingly, the second best. With the worst of them hustles resulted in losing £600, and other making zero profit (never started), the three remaining provided a decent return.

I personally think that the potential for any cryptocurrency is to invest at the moment of the ICO (initial coin offering).
