Investments and pension funds are a bit up, but i had some personal problems to solve, and some consecutive holidays and the net worth decrease is due to the diminishing available cash in the bank. Anyway, i got a promotion now, so hopefully i will do better in 2020.The passive income is decreasing also, so i need to work out a bit more on that, while i try to solve some health issues in the same time. Winter is not my best season, as cold tends to aggravate my asthma and my sinusitis. Crypto market seems to stagnate at the moment. And i got 15 months left until my wedding. Interesting times.
I will try to workout the annual report in January, but i am affraid that i did not had great results this year. We will see, one month left, right.
See you soon,

This website is about very early retirement and financial freedom, with a pinch of stoic minimalism and just the right amount of frugality. I started this journey in December 2014. You can join me and see when i will reach my goal. you can learn from my mistakes or give me the tips and tricks. Good luck and good journey.

The holiday season is coming back with a bite, but i decided that i would gift us with some fine experiences so here we are. First holiday was not that expensive (8 days in Turkey in September with a bit over £800 spent for the two of us, with a potential big saving in the future - wedding dresses made to order for much less than in UK). Second holiday to follow in November (Around £1000 in flights and accomodation on the route London-Budapest-Dubai-Bucharest-London for 15 days). After this potentially we need to save some money for the incoming wedding, so we will not have too many expenses for the next 12-14 months. There are also some plans for a promotion at work and a mortgage for the property number 2 for rent. About the rest of my plans, crypto are still going wildly up and down, so i stopped most of the stuff related to them at the moment, lazy match betting goes as usual and internet income is still under £100 per month.
See you soon!

Soon, september
I know i missed August, but i am getting ready for September. I am quite pissed as i worked 9 extra nights in July and only 4 extra night and one extra day shift in August, and the difference was £5 more after tax in July for mai main job. So basically i was working for tax, and £4 for aditional 4 nights. Not good to work too much , at least not for us normal people.

How i got free Netflix forever
One of my little quirks is that if i want anything extra that it is not necesar for my sustainance of survival, i need to make that money up from other source of income than the main wage. If this is pro- or against the FIRE movement, i do not know.
But my latest pleasure that i indulge sometime when i have enough free time is Netflix. And in order to pay the £6 monthly, i made and account on Quora and using the partners programe, i got paid around £10 every month, on my Paypal, from where the Netflix guys dutifully get their monthly payment.
Not let me explain what that is! Quora is a huge forum where you can ask questions and answer to them, and sooner or later an expert will give you the right answer. There is the trick. If you get into the partners program, you will be paid for the number of people reading your questions, in a similar way with Youtube paying for views. There are some there doing thousands, by consistently writing 50 questions every day. I just ask what i want to know, on average 2-3 questions per day. There are other languages than English, and i find that another language will pay much better than the English section for the same question.
Good luck with it.

July 2019 - end of the month report
My Overview
The numbers may be slightly innacurate as i lost some data, but i can still calculate the average sum.
Total portfolio: £29225 (-9)
Debt: ZERO
External funds: ZERO
Car: No
Net Worth: £29225 (-9)
Investments UK: £23246 (+4556)
Investments overseas : £4510 (+119)
Cash: £1350
Pension: £12405 (+668)
Total Income: £1443 (main job) + 700 (probably) = 2143
Passive income: £700 (32%)
Savings rate: 13%
Side hustle 2 value: £0.20
Side hustle 3 value: £ 590 (June and July)
Side hustle 4 value: £2778 (Funds spent:5067)
The net worth is mainly the same, as i did not focus on saving, with 2 holidays coming (September and November). Flight bought for first one already, and a city break scheduled for next week (some Spa experience overnight hotel, dinner etc for my other half). Cash down, investments up, this is good. I also had some extra work that will be paid at the end of August, so i hope for some net worth increase for the next month. Online profit was low (no time or no internet to blame for it), match betting was average and cryptocurrency is increasing slowly every month.
See you soon!

The wonders of modern science
Apparently my laptop decided to die, so at the moment i got all the data from the previous years (2014-2018) but everything from 2019 is lost. Except the blog posts. I would see what i can do to rebuild it from scratch.
Life is beautiful.

April - end of the month report
My Overview
Total portfolio: £29234
Debt: ZERO
External funds: ZERO
Car: No
Net Worth: £29234
Investments UK: £18687
Investments overseas : £4391
Cash: £12729
Pension: £11737

Passive income: £803 (36.83%)

Everything is going quite well. Financially speaking, all the debts are cleared and the cash is building up. I start to save some small amounts on different ISA also, mostly on a help to buy ISA, and a Shares ISA. On matched betting i had a good month with Cheltenham and Grand National being quite lucrative. I did not have time to write on my books, as i am preparing mostly on a course about Autism, and i am prospecting a job change, with two possible options, one for the same amount of time, but better paid, another one for less time and higher pay (with the same money at the end of the month like now, but i work two days less, a bit harder). I will see which one will be the chosen one, as i would like the extra money, but i will also like the extra time (working just 3 days a week, i know!).
Crypto corner - the coins are slowly going up, so i am increasing the value, even if i am talking about a very small portfolio (in the last three months increased from 600 to 1300), but i am not keen to invest more at the moment as the market seems to be very volatile. I am hoping that next month i will pass the 30k limit, having another reason to celebrate. The only ones that i am still buying with the extra unexpected wins from matched betting are for not just Bitcoin and Neo. A little gamble, as many "experts" think that Bitcoin will even reach 1 million in 10-15 years. So if i will have one bitcoin by then, i declare myself satisfied. And Neo is a proof of stake coin, offering daily interest up to 4-6% per year.
Have a wonderful summer!

January - end of the month report
My Overview

Debt: £806 (-353)
External funds: ZERO

Net Worth: £23839(+480)
Investments UK: £8687 (+20)
Investments overseas : £3606 ( same)
Cash: £1267 (same)
Pension: £10495(+105)
Total Income: £2103(+200)
Passive income: £398 (18.94%)
Savings rate: 11.57%
Side hustle 2 value: £0.40
Side hustle 3 value: £ 297.85 (Profit December 464.89)
Side hustle 4 value: £607 (Funds spent:5067)
Still working out on paying the debt, with £806 left, so i am estimating 2 months until i am done with it. Not enough movement, i was paid for all the extra work on Christmas, with a mere 200 pounds extra. Side hustle 2 is not moving as usual, but i took a bit of effort in that direction, so hopefully i see some movement in February. Number 3, matched betting, just the minimum of effort, as i am banned to use my phone at work now. Do not ask why! (around six hours on the phone daily, that's why). Crypto is not moving much, i just let everything to go automatically as it was set up. I noticed that the pension fund went down as we are getting close to Brexit, and most of the funds i use tend to decrease. But i believe they will catch up eventually, 1-2 years after the event. I decided to focus a bit on saving some money for a house deposit, before the next year wedding if possible. I have the First buy ISA with 200 going there monthly. And i will use TSB account for 1500 with 3% interest, and i can make a saving account with TSB for further 250 i believe, for the same 3% rate, or maybe is 1.5%, i need to check. Once those are full, i will use Santander for 1.5% up to 15.000.

2018 - FIRE and achievements
In 2018 I earned a total of £26846, out of which £16894 from my 2 jobs (91.3% of my full time job, 8.7% from my part time one).
The internet profit was £3347, with 89% from match betting, 5.8% from cryptocurrency mining and 5.2% from various survey and online activities.
Other small amounts were gained from bank interest (£73), dividends (£13), rental (£6479), Amazon (£29) and money found on the floor (0.25).
My portfolio went down from £29035 to £23359 (after 11.000 gain in 2017), mostly because of my cryptocurrency adventure (basically I won 11k and i lost 6k next year because of the bear market).
Actually I am at 20% of my planned journey, and this year i am quite optimistic, planning to reach 30k at the end of the year.

This was a good month, and i even manage to finish it with a positive balance, despite a big splash due to Christmas and various birthday. I manage to reward myself with a decent computer, paid over the next 4-5 months courtesy of PayPal, with 0% APR. My investments increased slightly, but the pension fund went down instead of up, with all the uncertainty of Brexit and other industry problems. Betting was fine, even if it was done whenever i had the time. The crypto portfolio increased slightly, but is still far from getting me a profit. I will follow up soon with a yearly overview.
Have a nice day!
