I started this journey in December 2014. You can join me and see when i will reach my goal. you can learn from my mistakes or give me the tips and tricks. Good luck and good journey.unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.comBlogger325125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-25162914736851926492024-03-01T18:45:00.004+00:002024-03-01T18:45:41.934+00:00February 2024 - end of the month report<p> Total portfolio: £115734 (+19967)</p><div>Here we are the end of the year, checking the numbers. They will be covered mostly by the end of March. I do have the money, but they are in a term deposit expiring around 20th of March. Can't lose the interest, isn't it? A net worth increase due to Bitcoin and other crypto going up, I used the opportunity to send another £1700 to my bank, so now I have some 78K crypto and only £1900 to recover from the initial investment. As I have some extra expenses, I plan to send some more funds to the bank. Increased my Freetrade account value to 1K, and next on the list is to add another £400 to the AJ Bell shares account, to bring it up to 2K, as I want slowly this year to have 10K in Shares on each of my two accounts. As you can see, I got a small debt as I used PayPal to buy some plane tickets. I was a bit all over this year, with no less than 4 holidays, and 2 more incoming before the end of the year. Decided to enjoy life a bit this year, and there is no real incentive to put all the extra effort trying to catch a falling knife. Net worth went down a bit, just related to crypto portfolio, which is decreasing slowly this year. Still, I am able to biuld and make some profits, £700+ this month, and in the last 3 months I got some small amounts and exchanged them into bank money (not a lot, only£ 2-300 to boost my expenses account). Other than that, pension account increased 2K, after it kept losing its value for the last 2 years. Money goes into it every month. Cahs fund also increased with almost 2K, and I plan to build it a bit more for now, given the uncertainty, to have some emergency funds if the need arise. I am still saving all that I make online, and a quarter of my main job wage. As the life it geting more difficult, I applied for a second part time job, as agency worker, aiming to do 1-2 extra shifts monthly to get some extra cash. Didn't had the honor to do my first shift yet. </div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-65846120183508019972023-02-02T16:47:00.001+00:002023-02-02T16:47:16.854+00:00End of the month report - January 2023<p> Total portfolio: £70267 (+4852)</p><div>I did not write anything in the last few months, as I was busy organizing one or another. I hit a small jackpot with crypto, but I was a bit greedy, and I did not take back enough profit, and then the bear market came and everything went down from the 300% profit increase back to the initial values. I do not regret this, but I hope I will do better on the next crypto bull market, whenever this one will come (2025-2026?). Shares and mutual funds, I am down to £2097, hope to do some crazy move and reach 10K until the end of the year, but before that, I need to biuld a 20K cash reserve in the bank account (Santander is paying 1.75% interest for up to 20K so I plan to keep it in there). I have also started a saving account on Santander, where they offer 2.75% interest for up to one year. I have £800/£2400 in there, with the limit being £200 pain onto account per month. This will be the cash reserve, and after that I start to build my shares and mutual funds, on my AJ Bell account ( £10K to start) and Freetrade account (they got zero fees and individual shares to pick, even fractions of them, I go for £1000 here to start with it), and over the next few years the aim will be to have 100K in funds, and 10K individual shares.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJJ6syVh0lHd0rC1ErFHlSr7209RdKnH8wLWvo6WK7MsFz08jtBKO1SDF3r-EuWe9Ta4dw6Y4IKF3q7BdgOpfV_WEe5_TtHq08gMJ4twWfrCwK98_LjKf4xN1Wtmcy6gX70qNSURLuDy5DqbKTImCa-UDTBDLHFzhPs4QZlqSGH7Grdqp15W1sXM97/s640/money%20sky.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="640" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJJ6syVh0lHd0rC1ErFHlSr7209RdKnH8wLWvo6WK7MsFz08jtBKO1SDF3r-EuWe9Ta4dw6Y4IKF3q7BdgOpfV_WEe5_TtHq08gMJ4twWfrCwK98_LjKf4xN1Wtmcy6gX70qNSURLuDy5DqbKTImCa-UDTBDLHFzhPs4QZlqSGH7Grdqp15W1sXM97/s320/money%20sky.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>As for 01.02.2023 the numbers are:</div><div><br /></div><div>Cash: £2500 (TSB) £1135 (Santander)</div><div><br /></div><div>AJ Bell (VT AJ BELL FUND): £1524/£10K (final amount: 100K)</div><div><br /></div><div>Freetrade: £573/£1000 (final amount: 10K)</div><div><br /></div><div>Crypto: £39030/£250k</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-8291320243657782572022-12-01T14:12:00.005+00:002022-12-01T14:15:01.611+00:00Monthly report FIRE - November 2022<p> Total portfolio: £65415 (-12968)</p><div>I did not write anything in the last few months, as I was busy organizing one or another. Translated - cryptocurrencies are still going down. Other than that, I got a bonus, or better call it 'bribe' from government, in order to come with the economical crisis (In theory they gave us 10% as inflation rised above 27%, so we are still on the losing side of the battle). Some royalties out of nowhere and some profit playing my blockchain games. Other than that, a quiet month, although I went on a spending spree as I needed to buy some new trousers, tops and shoes, plus, I finished everybody Christmas gifts early, as I had a week off. For the next year, I need to redirect some of the profits from crypto towards the bank account, but my numbers are only showing the liquidity, a lot more is stuck in different blockchain games, and if I do sell those, I estimate anything between 40K and 80K. Still, there is some growth potential in there, but I will take some profits slowly over the next few months, maybe all the next year. Trying some crazy moves to reach my FIRE amount all at once, if possible. But I do not see it happening until the market recovers. </div><div><br /></div><div>Extra: I will start to drop some small amounts every month into my shares, which right now are a shameful £1800 in total. But this time was not as bad as first time, when we did the wedding in UK with the register, as in September 2021 we spend close to $13000. We still used the same dress and same groom suit, and shoes and all that stuff. Same rings too. Coclusion: weddings are expensive, even when you try to be a minimalistic obsessed clown. Thanks God you do it only once (or twice in my case) in your life. </div><div><br /></div><div>Do not neglect your health, and remember that it is better to prevent than to treat. I did spent something like $3000 on my oral health, doing a complete check-out/treatment/everything that was needed and spending some inordinate amount of time with the dentist. Got all my widsom teeth out, in order to prevent future problems too, a bit radical, but I hope I will benefit from this in the far away future. </div><div><br /></div><div>Other than that, work is work, going ok for now, still need to wear the mask on the interactions with clients, so meh! Royalties from my Amazon books are now almost inexistent, and crypto is nowhere like the beginning of the year, but still brings some hundreds pounds. I got a £50 check and some £9 payment from the survey websites, as I do them in my free time, on the train or while watching TV. </div><div><br /></div><div>Other than that, will be a quiet year. Oh yeah, I started a new savings account with Santander, this is some one-off occasion where I can save up to £200 monthly for one year for 2.5%, and as I had some money in the bank, I will transfer 200 every month in order to get 27.50 extra after one year. </div><div><br /></div><div>See you next time,</div><div>George.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-8622481216169049242022-07-03T13:04:00.003+01:002022-07-03T13:04:32.803+01:00End of the month report - June 2022<p> Total portfolio: £89609 (-101000)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £89609 (-101000)<br /><br />Investments UK: £63444 (-99800)<br />Investments overseas : £175 (£3000 of the savings will be used for wedding)<br />Cash: £3753 (+1903)<br />Pension: £20798 (+173)<br /><br />Total Income: £1532(main job)+0(second job) + 1817= 3349<br />Passive income: £1817 (54.2%)<br />Savings rate: 54.2%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0.03<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 5<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £1800(Total funds still invested in crypto:8430)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£10</div><div><br /></div><div>I am back, and I am a bit of a mess lately, with all this insane inflation and some major expenses. I am getting ready for the second part of the wedding, this time in Romania, and I will use some on my saving from the Romanian account towards the expenses (around £3000). I have also a honeymoon trip scheduled right after the main event. Looking back to the latest 2-3 years, before Covid, I have not much savings as before, but the monthly inflows are twice as much as before Covid (2019). I am now focused on main job and my second crypto-job, paid in cryptocurrency, but those pesky crypto are on all-time low at the moment, after they lost roughly 80% of their 2021 value. I do not worry about that, as they will go back eventually, in few years. I am still good, with a $59K portfolio out of my initial 8.4K investment. Other than that, I am looking at some investment idea or even a side hustle, but the economical situation makes almost everything quite risk. Another solution will be just to accumulate cash and do not give a damn on inflation, but this one hurts. The plan B is to get enough cash to buy a property paying it in full, with no mortgage, but this may take few years to achieve (7 years on my estimate). </div><div><br /></div><div>Glad to write once more in here, hope you all are alright in this unsafe times. </div><div>George</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-47103006146152908632022-03-01T14:55:00.000+00:002022-03-01T14:55:55.603+00:00February - End of the month report FIRE<p> Total portfolio: £190317 (-64386)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £190317 (-64386)<br /><br />Investments UK: £163294 (-65700)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1850 (+1150)<br />Pension: £20616 (+60)<br /><br />Total Income: £1604(main job)+429 (second job) + 5508= 11107<br />Passive income: £5510 (73%)<br />Savings rate: 80%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0.55<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £5508(Total funds still invested in crypto:8430)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£1</div><div><br /></div><div>Fist of all, I was slacking a bit, but not too much, so I decided to update my monthly report once more. Even if I missed January, the things looks good, there is one scary minus 64K from the total portfolio, but it is all related to the crypto portfolio, who was decreasing massivelly lately. Anyway, given the fact that I have only £8430 to recover from my initial investment. Other than that, was a normal month, with some extra pay from Christmas, and not so many expenses, as I still recover after the September wedding (the UK one, as I still get ready for round 2 in Romania). I am thinking about some nice holiday this year, as a honey moon of some sorts, and basically I cannot decide as I can go anywhere, at least in theory (except Greenland, I cannot afford Greenland yet, as a trip there will easilly go over twelve thousand pounds). And I discovered <a href="https://www.travala.com/ref/28D1ZN" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Travala</a>, so I hope I can use cryptocurrencies to book it, to save some cash from the bank. I am trying to get some profits from there into the bank, but I need to be careful to not go over my free allowange for capital tax (according to HM Revenues ''the tax-free allowance for capital gains tax is £12,300''). And I am moving slowly online, as most of my writing and blockchain gaming is feeling like a second job sometimes, just three times better in terms of profits. If you are curious, check my latest report in <a href="https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-markets-and-marginal-gains/february-earnings-writing-staking-and-blockchain-gaming-xknlpdk" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-73384548745401316732021-12-02T21:57:00.003+00:002021-12-02T22:41:42.713+00:00The journey is always more important than the goal - December 2nd<p><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">As I said, this month I will be a bit more active, and I will publish a post per day, for the whole month. If Possible. Let's go!</span></span></p><p><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;"> <span>Last summer I had a 'little accident' jumping rope, as I could hear something happenning to my knee. It is healing slowly, and I estimate it is still matter of months until I will be fully recovered. Few day ago I had some mild pain on my thight, and now, after few days, I can feel it getting worst everytime I need to walk. I still need to go to work one more day before my annual leave week, so I need to embrace the pain and go to one more 12 hours shift. Now, this is just a muscle problem, and while I am in pain, I hope it will recover faster than the knee cartilage.</span></span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt=""pepe.jpg"" src="https://images.hive.blog/DQmTu2fBLQqTY11FcN8actAQvJyym5KkBYE3FtFG23XhA5V/pepe.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: inline-block; height: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; max-height: none; max-width: 100%; vertical-align: middle; width: auto;" /></span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Alternative future: they say the physical problems start first in your mind. I sneak in and open the 'magic book' - The mental causes of physical illnesses. I look for knee and thight. Ready for some fun?</span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">quote: ''The knee is the link between the soul and the personality. I need to process this mumbo jumbo. What I need to accept is that I need to forgive, to understand and to be full of compassion. Is this the issue, are they on something? Ok, this being said, I need to check my thights.</span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">quote: ''Fear to take important decisions in order to go forward.'' This it is raising some interesting questions. And I afraid of getting old, and more than that, am I afraid of dying? Right now, after I crossed the whole ocean of life during tremendous storms, and I can almost see the promised land.</span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Yes, you may have guest, I am talking in metaphors and parables, but the struggle is real. I am almost there, close to the end of my journey, almost reaching my final target, and I am realising that I have no plans after that. Is this the end, my only friend? Where I can find some even bigger challenge?</span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Actually, the thing is that as long as I perceive this as a lifelong challenge, I was thinking that I am happy to get close to my goal every day. I could learn, I could grow, I could improve myself. I do not know, I should be happy, as I reach peaks that I never imagined that I could achieve. Partially due to my perseverence, partially to 'luck'. Still, I am there, on the top of the biggest mountain and I am asking myself, that's all?</span></span></p><p style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 28.8px; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Every success book is teaching you how to get there, how to achieve perfection, but none is telling you what to do after that. Maybe I need to check some of my old books. Carlos Castaneda. Nissargadata Maharaj. Maybe I will remember how everything it was long time ago, and the end will become a new beginning. Maybe. Until then, I am taking back my human appearance. I become one with the crowd. I write and publish being paid in crypto, I have my main savings account in crypto and I am a co-founder or supporter of various crypto-projects. I am also maintaining few crypto-masternodes, being paid in crypto too for the work. I took this decision to go completely into this strange world, as there are quite few solid projects that are perfectly safe, offering an interest or reward in the range of 3-12% per year. I mean, I am looking at my bank offering me 0.10% as they are thinking they are making me a favour. Other than that, I am well paid for my work, even if I am a bit overwhelmed, being currently involved in 36 projects, the equivalent of a 2 full time jobs timewise. But, I am pushing a bit, in order to be completely independent financially in few years. I am not far, and at the current level of monthly income, I will be there soon. I did not made any effort with the books, yet they still sell, now and again. No focus groups, as I am still doing my full time real job. Well, the world is changing, and it is certainly very interesting to live in it right now. At some moment I am thinking to get money to buy a property with cash, but the taxes will be up to 20% of the amount, if I am not mistaken, as soon as I am sending the money from crypto into the bank (this being categorized as a taxable event - capital gains). If you are exploring the idea of working for crypto, I will give you some hints, as you can read my fully detailed report for crypto in <a href="https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-markets-and-marginal-gains/november-by-numbers-my-crypto-rewards-staking-and-crypto-inc-xelmkyg" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-53339025806531410282021-08-04T08:32:00.002+01:002021-08-04T08:32:16.286+01:00July 2021 - End of the month report FIRE<p> Total portfolio: £160864 (+12890)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £160864 (+12890)<br /><br />Investments UK: £135083 (+9035)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £2068 1103 (+965)<br />Pension: £19274 (+703)<br /><br />Total Income: £1481(main job)+0 (second job) + 16905= 18386<br />Passive income: £16905 (91.94%)<br />Savings rate: 90%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0.30<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £16900 (Funds spent in crypto:8858)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£5</div><div><br /></div><div>This was a good month, mostly because of my newlyfound success on blockchain gaming. As most of the profit was made from capital gains, some of my gaming assets (NFT) increasing as much as 14 times. There are mainly 2 games that bring me more than 1000$ per month (yes, dollars, because that's what they pay). One of them is called <a href="https://axieinfinity.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Axie Infinity</a>, and you need to buy a team of three Axies (game characters) in order to start, and they cost around 300$ each. Minimum effort will get you 700-800$, with 20 minutes of daily play. The second one, the one that gain something like 12.000$ in assets from 2.500$ in just one month, it is called <a href="https://splinterlands.com?ref=mightyrocklee" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Splinterlands</a>, and the initial investment is 10$, in order to buy a Spell Book to gain access to the paid version (anti-spam measure). Both games are paying you in cryptocurrency tokens (called SLP for Axie, and DEC for Splinterlands), and all I have to do is to change them at the end of the month into GBP, using <a href="https://accounts.binance.me/en/register?ref=ES2U6EE9" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Binance Exchange</a>, and send them to bank account. Still, if you do that you may want only to use only your £12000 allowance, as you need to pay capital tax if you send more than that to your bank account. The problem with crypto is that it is starting to feel like a second full time job, and I am getting tired lately. I may need to slow down a bit. </div><div><br /></div><div>As for main job, I just did my hours, and no extra shifts, as I am able not to get the equivalent of my pay day with just 60-80 minutes of playing games. Of course, I have another 36 projects I take care, related to crypto, hence the full time job feeling. </div><div><br /></div><div>I was trying to get rid of the extra pound that i gained in the past 18 months, and I am going twice per week at gym or pool. Getting ready for a wedding and an IVF session kind of adds to the general stress, in terms of money, time and patience. But I will finally say I do! in September, if everything goes well. Until now we spent almost ten thousand pounds on wedding preparations and some 1200 on IVF. </div><div><br /></div><div>I did not have much time for any other activity, except 4-6 weekly blog post on crypto themed platforms, being paid for that. I completely stopped the matched betting, and I did not write much lately. </div><div><br /></div><div>That's all for July, see you in another month. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. </div><div><br /></div><div>G.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-48681220561692930922021-06-05T16:21:00.000+01:002021-06-05T16:21:45.656+01:00June 2021 - monthly report<p>Total portfolio: £147974(-110219)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £147974(-110219)<br /><br />Investments UK: £126048(-117019)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1103 (-302)<br />Pension: £18571 (+301)<br /><br />Total Income: £1566(main job)+0 (second job) + 7836= 9402<br />Passive income: £7836 (83.34%)<br />Savings rate: 83%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £7622 (Funds spent in crypto:9656)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£208.66</div><div><br /></div><p>Interesting month, as you can see, cryptocurrency portfolio is swinging wildly up and down, with 40% down at the beginning of June. Right now 3 days later recovered 20% already, but you never know what to expect. I consider the crypto there as Principal, and I do not mind the volatility, just the monthly income provided. </p><p>The shares are minimal now, but they seems to stay on the same level, and Ratesetter closing made me to look on some other alternatives. I am currently testing <a href="https://magic.freetrade.io/join/george/a08af1d8" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Freetrade </a>up, where you can buy fraction of almost any share with minimal fee. It is good for fun, to make a single picking portfolio, but I do not think is as cheap as other alternatives. I will try it to see how it is working. I see some fee free ways to buy. </p><p>Other than that, everything is going according to the plan. </p>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-34407881516908018262021-05-10T13:20:00.000+01:002021-05-10T13:20:04.713+01:00May 2021 - monthly report<p> Motto: <b>Audaces fortuna iuvat. </b></p><p>Total portfolio: £258193 (+113059)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £258193 (+113059)<br /><br />Investments UK: £234080 (+112503)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1405<br />Pension: £18270 (+657)<br /><br />Total Income: £1483(main job)+0 (second job) + 22526= 24009<br />Passive income: £22526 (93.82%)<br />Savings rate: 93%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0.23<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £21926 (Funds spent in crypto:9863)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£56.66</div><div><br /></div><div>Where should I start? I completely stopped doing the match betting, as I have no pleasure in doing it anymore, and the betting companies make it harder and harder to get a profit. I did not write or worked on a book for months, probably from May last year when i finished the one about <a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/other-brain-beneficial-microbes-Health/dp/B087L1VY29/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=george+mihalache+microbiota&qid=1620648560&sr=8-1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Microbiome</a>. I did not have any time for Focus Groups also, due to my full time job and various COVID19 related challenges. But, and there is a big BUT, I kind of slowly migrated to another full time job related to crypto, and If you enjoy this or try to learn about, this is<a href="https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-markets-and-marginal-gains/april-by-numbers-my-crypto-rewards-staking-and-crypto-income-xyklpjw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> the link for my April activity</a> (If you are not well versed in cryptocurrencies, this may be difficult to understand, but basically is like in the real life, there are blogs where I write for crypto, games that I play for crypto, and saving accounts where I keep crypto for a weekly or monthly interest). You have all the links in there also, some may be referral, but i do not mind if you do not use them. Feel free to ask anything you need to find out in here, I will help if I know. </div><div><br /></div><div>So, back to crypto, this is by far the best month I ever had, mainly because of three big rewards that arrived simultaneously. So, I made almost 22.000 in April, but getting it into the bank account is a bit tricky, as there is only a 10.000 limit yearly, after that Capital Tax need to be paid (I think is 10% but at the moment I will just keep my crypto in Savings account and enjoy the interest, getting only as much money as I need out to the bank account).</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-69567226961113293832021-04-02T02:27:00.001+01:002021-04-02T02:27:25.676+01:00End of the month report - March 2021<p> Motto: <b>Audaces fortuna iuvat. </b></p><p>Total portfolio: £145134 (+29307)</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £145136 (+29307)<br /><br />Investments UK: £121577 (+28651)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1506<br />Pension: £17613 (+437)<br /><br />Total Income: £1517(main job)+0 (second job) + 8496= 10012<br />Passive income: £8496 (84.85%)<br />Savings rate: 85%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 11.44<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 8.13<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £117260(Funds spent in crypto:11263)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£4.66</div><div><br /></div><div>Interesting times to live. Overall, i think i save more at the moment, as i do not go out, or in holiday, or doing anything outside my house. Work, home, and working from home. Starts to get boring, but there is not much left until we can finally go to cinema or gym. I do not care much about the rest. But there are some big expenses coming, as i need to prepare myself for a wedding, and possible for a IVF tratment round. These expenses are so big that i cannot even estimate them. Anyway, once they are done, most of the stress that i feel right now will dissapear, or at least this is what i hope. </div><div><br /></div><div>So, this is one all time high in term on monthly income, i must say, maybe except one December 7-8 years ago when i made something similar. Mostly due to £8376 from writing, Play2earn, interest and dividends in the crypto-market. High risk, high rewards. And i do not even do the risky stuff, mostly using lending apps for a nice 12% interest for stablecoins (those crypto that are not very volatile). If you are curious to see the full budget and projection, check<a href="https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-markets-and-marginal-gains/march-by-numbers-my-crypto-rewards-staking-and-crypto-income-xqkleom" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> this article</a>. And ask me if you have any questions. I am happy to help. </div><div><br /></div><div>As for the rest, one full time work with no extra hours (they cannot affort to pay us extra anymore, but at least i have a full time job, so i am grateful for that). No part time job, as this is not possible now due to Covid policy - we can work only in one place. A free bet, they just offer me 10$ for free, i said i am not doing it because i do not have the time, but free money are free money. Some surveys i did in my free time (read bored at work). And few books sold. This was my month. </div><div><br /></div><div>It was hard for me to read how one of the blogger i admire separated from his wife, as she could not cope with the FIRE life and needed something more. I am lucky to have a partner that can give me lessons about this. But this was very important to read, as it made me realize that you need to have a plan once you choose to retire. A very good plan. Mine is to have a baby, and hope that this will get me busy for most of the day. I know, i know. What i am thinking. What can i say, i just wait for this year to finish and i will adjust my strategy, once again. </div><div><br /></div><div>Take care!</div><div>G.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-7084068731004091702021-03-03T14:28:00.008+00:002021-03-03T14:32:00.070+00:00End of the month report - February 2021<p>Motto: <b>Audaces fortuna iuvat. </b></p><p>Total portfolio: £115827</p>Debt: ZERO<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £115827<br /><br />Investments UK: £92926<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1286<br />Pension: £17177<br /><br />Total Income: £1658(main job)+0 (second job) + 3383= 5041<br />Passive income: £3383 (67.11%)<br />Savings rate: 70%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £88623 (Funds spent in crypto:11263)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£0.23</div><div><br /></div><div>We live through strange times. With the lockdown full on, I had no time to do any part time jobs, as I am still going on my main one, and due to Covid19 restrictions I am required to work only in one place. So, main job it is. I have completely stop doing any match betting also, as i am trying to make my bank account to look good, with a property buy in mind (it was funny, when they checked for a mortgage, and they could see 8-12.000 monthly used for betting websites, in a good month like March Cheltenham). I bet they were thinking that I am either a math genius or the most addicted gambler on a planet. Probably the second. Given the conditions, I was fully focused on crypto-market like a real job, and I am doing alright, as they got auto-compounding accounts with the interest paid every 5 minutes, with 15-240% Annual profit yield. Every early retirement candidate dream. On the surface. I must to admit that I learn very fast, I am good at numbers and finances, and I had a ton of luck. Literally. The market is that volatile, that you have in one day as much movement up and down as a share can have in 5 years. So, took me 2 years to teach my brother the basics, so he can perform slightly above average. But it is not something that I would recommend. Unless you want to try your hand with 1-2 thousand, just for the fun of the game. The risk is much higher than any traditional investment, even with the so called stablecoins (coins that mimic the dollar - which is not doing great lately also). But if this is the way to make me reach FI, so be it. And, as the story goes, years from now we will find a face mask in our jacket pocket and we will say:</p><p>''- Well, that was indeed a strange year!'' and we will laugh, take our Geiger counter, and start to find a path through the Atomic winter, hiding ourselves from the human canibals. </p><p>Enough with the chit-chat. Let's see the numbers. </p><p>According to my excel tab, I started the year with a net worth of £31148, and i finished with £52710, adding £21562 this year to my savings. How did i do it, i will check in a moment. </p><p>My total job income this year was £18720 after tax, with £18373 from my main job (with 6 months of furlough), and £347 from my focus research side hustle (done during June, July and August from the safety of my home). </p><p>£5773 was my semi-passive income, with £2744 gained from crypto interests, £2830 from matched betting, with a lucky win at the March Grand National, right before lockdown. As i approached the end of the year i gave up the matched betting side hustle, as it is not as easy and fun as before. And finally, i got £200 from blogs, surveys and other internet related stuff. </p><p>£154 was gained from interest, mainly from Santander, TSB and Ratesetter, but right not the TSB interest is 0%, Santander went from 3% to 1.5% to 0.80%. And Ratesetter is paying only 50% of the interest at the moment, in order to survive. </p><p>My £1000 i still have in shares paid me only £5.82 in dividents after the fees were taken.</p><p>Amazon paid £10.35 in royalties for my books. </p><p>And, to keep the best for last, i found £0.61 on the floor this year, mainly 1,2 and 5 pence. </p><p>Just to recap, this year i made £24660, with £5939 from (semi) passive income. </p><p>2021 will be an interesting year, with my wedding coming in May, and most probably no honey moon after, given the current situation. </p><p>Take care and keep saving!</p><p>George</p>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-62474746233456672462021-01-07T01:13:00.003+00:002021-01-07T01:13:34.970+00:00End of the month report - December 2020<p>Total portfolio: £52710 (+5829)</p>Debt: ZERO (-808)<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £52710 (+6637)<br /><br />Investments UK: £46579 (+6028)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1573 1803 (-230)<br />Pension: £16238 15996 (+242)<br /><br />Total Income: £1742(main job)+0 (second job) + 350= 2092<br />Passive income: £350(16.74%)<br />Savings rate: 20%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £ 0<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 11.32<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £26186 (Funds spent in crypto:10687)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£218.13</div><div><br /></div><div>This was a good month, and overall i managed to cover all the expenses from December quite nicely (total spend £1004 according to my math, could be lower than than but i got new phones for both of us, upgrading from Iphone 5 and 6 to Iphone 7 and 8). Crypto is increasing like mad lately, so in the first days of the year i send to my bank account the mentioned £1004, so i can say that technically crypto paid all our December expenses. I had a couple of match bets, hence the minimal profit, and i got paid another £18 for 6 surveys made in December (£3 each). I paid all debts from paypal and i had a nice income from cryptocurrency as interest, paid weekly, at the moment i get around 40$ per week. Still wave a nice cash reserve with only the rent to be paid until end of the month. As i will go to the yearly report soon, i am happy to see that financially 2020 was not that bad, with the main problems deriving from the anxiety and mental health issues caused from staying inside the house for too long. </div><div><br /></div><div>As the new year started, i am yet to prepare a strategy to lose the kilograms that are piling up lately, with all the festive food around. I reached 87 kg with 180 cm height, so i would need to loose around 7 kg as soon as possible. Still learning Spanish, but the guitar lessons are less and less often. </div><div><br /></div><div>Strategies for the new year? I will post them soon. Until then, i have<a href="https://www.publish0x.com/crypto-markets-and-marginal-gains/opportunities-to-gain-more-cryptocurrency-in-2021-xkyndgd" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> a little link</a> for you, to read the article and check the blogs in there, as all of them are paying quite well in cryptocurrency (I got only £85 this month, but my brother got almost £300 paid in December, writing consistently). </div><div><br /></div><div>That's it for the moment, take care and read my next article soon. </div><div>George.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-6784623766612401682020-12-02T13:23:00.005+00:002020-12-02T13:23:53.835+00:00End of the month report - November 2020<p>Total portfolio: £46881 (+4573)</p>Debt: £808 (+808)<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £46073 (+3765)<br /><br />Investments UK: £40521 (+4394)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1803 (+179)<br />Pension: £15996 (+1268)<br /><br />Total Income: £1552(main job)+0 (second job) + 289= 1841<br />Passive income: £289(15.68%)<br />Savings rate: 20%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £2.54<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £20503 (Funds spent in crypto:11687)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£289</div><div><br /></div><div>First of all, i hade some big changes around my savings. First, even if it is a bit risky, i was using a cryptocurrency lender to lend the 7000 that i saved, for a return of approx. $100 via Celsius.network. I did my research and it is a solid company, with enough insured funds to cover an eventual bancrupcy or a similar event. If i would go the other way, and make a mortgage, after getting the rent paid, and substract the mortgage, taxes and bills, the result would be somewhere between 50-70£ per month, with additional stress. Now, if my move will prove succesful, and i manage to save enough via cryptocurrency and index funds, i am planning to buy a small rental paying in cash. This way there will be no mortgage. </div><div><br /></div><div>Everything is increased slightly (pensions, shares, crypto), even if the economy is not booming. There is still some black swan event incoming (BREXIT, COVID19 third wave, etc), so i can only speak about this year (2020). Except this, in November i had no focus groups, no big royalties, and just a small return in interest (deemed to decrease further in the next few months). My cash is sitting in the bank getting 0.60% interest (Santander 123). </div><div><br /></div><div>So, the plan is to use the cryptocurrency returns to invest in shares, and to add to this the other side hustles that i can do during this period. Until i reach the critical level. And the second rental for us, if it is the case, after the next year wedding (again, black swan event, i cannot even imagine how this will be). </div><div><br /></div><div>See you at the end of the year. Take care and be good with others!</div><div>G.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-2373381955710834282020-11-09T20:48:00.005+00:002020-11-09T20:48:47.259+00:00End of the month report - October 2020<p>Total portfolio: £42308 (+847)</p>Debt: 0 (0)<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £42308 (+847)<br /><br />Investments UK: £36127 (+461)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1624 (+556)<br />Pension: £14728 (+92)<br /><br />Total Income: £1485(main job)+0 (second job) + 110= 1595<br />Passive income: £110 (6.91%)<br />Savings rate: 20%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £2.60<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 0<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £10350 (Funds spent in crypto:4687)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£105</div><div><br /></div><div>So, an interesting month. Total net worth was still going up, and the investments are recovering slowly, even the badly affected shares. Not much of a profit made this month, as i am working long shifts at the moment, and i will probably get the match betting out of the list next month, as i do not do it anymore. I am getting some small amounts from writing online on blog and i am trying to get trhough the property buying deal, but everything is so slow these months. Royalties are also down a lot, and interest in bank is almost inexistent. This is the reason of investing in a property, even with the estimate of 50-100 profit after paying the mortgage and bills. I cannot read the market, the financial instruments are awful right now, and my time is limited (i am exploring few other posibilities like blockchain gaming rewards, but nothing on sight). If you have a good idea, i am all ears. </div><div><br /></div><div>Yours truly,</div><div>George</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-31205870273818894442020-10-01T23:23:00.001+01:002020-10-01T23:23:13.231+01:00End of the month report - September 2020<p> Total portfolio: £41461(+2410)</p>Debt: 0 (0)<br />External funds: ZERO<br />Car: No<br />Net Worth: £41461(+2410)<br /><br />Investments UK: £35666(+2240)<br />Investments overseas : £3934 (same)<br />Cash: £1068 1238 (+170)<br />Pension: £13684 14636 (+952)<br /><br />Total Income: £1647(main job)+0 (second job) + 1752= 3399<br />Passive income: £1752 (51.55%)<br />Savings rate: 34.12%<br /><br />Side hustle 2 profit (Royalties): £2.3<br />Side hustle 3 profit (Match betting): £ 29.57 (Betting in September£310)<br />Side hustle 4 value (Crypto): £10137 (Funds spent in crypto:4687)<br />Side hustle 5 profit (Focus groups): £0<div>Side hustle 6 profit (Internet):£0.5<br /><div><br /></div></div><div>A very good month overall, with some bonus from work and a big profit from cryptocurrency (£1500). I am no more staying at home, going full time at work now, so my short 5 months early retirement test came to an end. Anyway, at least now i learn a lot about what i need to do when i have a lot of free time at hand, even if it was hard at the beginning. I reached the 40k mark, so i am pleased about it, as this year simulation was 36k at the end of the year. If i am managing to buy my first property by the end of the year, this 2020 will be a huge success for me, financially speaking. Due to work, i had no time for any focus group, and i cannot still do my secondary job due to Covid19. Match betting is close to zero, they are just tempting me from time to time with £5 or £10 free bet (which i do because is free money). I will start soon to work on a writing project, across 4 blogs and maybe a book, after i finish the research. </div><div><br /></div><div>Hope you have an even better summer than mine! I can still see a crisis looming over in the near future. What i will do in these conditions? I will buy a property, for the first time, using the First buy Isa that i saved in the last few years, the lack of stamp duty fee and a generous 20% Government Scheme to help first time buyers. With a final sum of 97k for the mortgage, this seems to be a good deal at the moment, especially as there are a lot of sellers and not too much buyers. I was waiting long time for this opportunity. </div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway, the cash is close to last month, with few more money to come from the betting websites. I decided to stop actively betting, focusing on focus groups instead. This is a neat activity, where you stay on zoom and talk for one hour or two, with an average payment on £40-50 per hour. You can do only one every six months, but there are 13 focus groups that i know, so the posibility is for 26 of them per year, with a minimum extra income of £1040 paid for talking. Crypto decentrilised finance is another thing that i start to research, given the rates of interest on 10-12% for stablecoins (cryptocurrencies corellated to dollar, 1 stablecoin = $0.98-1.02). Loans are very cheap in crypto-verse, around 1%, but given the volatility is not a wise choice. Instead of this, providing liquidity for others (in a similar way with Ratesetter, but using crypto) is a good source of income. If you are fine with the risks attached to it. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now work, seems that the holiday will finish soon and i will be back to work, but now i am even more motivated to never work again (for money), if i do something that i like, that it is not work. </div><div><br /></div><div>Hope everyone is good and healthy!</div><div>G.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4301812897484783760.post-56158734557274535582020-07-26T20:14:00.000+01:002020-07-26T20:14:47.597+01:00Match betting - the end of an eraToday was my last day allocated for match betting, as my future plans will make this activity obsolete. I decided to stop, taking in account the goods and the bads. I checked my notes, and i have few interesting statistics. <div><br /></div><div>I did match betting for a total of 32 months, and my total wins amounted to £12186.63 with an average of £380.83 per month. My best month was March 2020 with a total profit of 1508.42. My worst month was September 2019 with a total loss of 281.57. </div><div><br /></div><div>It was a nice experience, with all the nerves consuming events, and i learn my maths better because of it. </div><div><br /></div><div>My next side gig now is cryptocurrency, and i have some funny stories to tell about that also. But not right now. I managed to grow a portfolio of cryptocurrency from £600 in December 2018 up to $7748 today, aiming for the 100k in few years from now. </div><div><br /></div><div>Nice to write again, as i was busy with thousand other things lately. </div><div><br /></div><div>Take care everyone!</div><div><br /></div><div>G.</div>unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00542925995423578060noreply@blogger.com0
